Prolific long-standing TMR favourite Pet Grotesque has been focussing his attention on mixtapes since the release of 2020’s Female Synth Player. Following the excellent Good Egg 2 last year, i’m with stupid is his latest sonic concoction. Strewn with tongue-in-cheek samples, the eclectic mix of styles and genres is fashioned together in a way that only Pet Grotesque could pull off. Now, he provides some visuals for two of the record’s snippets in the form of ‘cattle prod flesh’. Showing us round his stomping ground, Grotesque rambles moodily around his local Ladywell Fields in South East London as the ominous stomps of ‘cattle prod’ set a heavy tone. Lifted by the bright tones of ascending sax parts ‘Flesh’ is a free and easy piece that’s perfect to kick back to, albeit for just 1 minute and 17 seconds.
